About Us

Lisa Goldberg with kids.JPG

Hi and welcome to our firm! We are 100% adoption, 100% of the time. My name is Lisa Peck Goldberg and I am the founding attorney of the firm. I earned my law degree at Emory University and have had a diverse legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Brooklyn D.A.’s Office, a law clerk for a federal judge, a trial attorney in a large firm and Senior Special Trial Counsel for the New York Stock Exchange.  My passions include working with and for children, so after volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for abused and neglected children and as an Ambassador to The Miracle Foundation, working to better the lives of orphans in India, I opened an adoption law practice dedicated to helping people build their families. It is my great privilege and a true pleasure to work with adoptive and foster parents and expectant mothers during their unique adoption journeys.

Leslie Silver Hoffman is one of our phenomenal Associate Attorneys. Leslie earned a master's degree in social work from the New York University School of Social Work and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. As a social worker, Leslie counseled children and families affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. She started her legal career at the Peter Cicchino Youth Project of the Urban Justice Center, where she represented lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender homeless youth and worked on systemic reform of the foster care and juvenile justice systems. She also served as an attorney at the HIV Law Project representing people living with HIV. Leslie continued her work with children and families as a CASA, providing services to youth in foster care. Leslie will bring her exceptionally compassionate and professional demeanor to assist you on your adoption journey and it is a privilege to have her on our team.

Vivian Sklar is our phenomenal, bilingual Associate Attorney, offering compassionate and professional legal services in both English and Spanish. Vivian earned a law degree from Stetson University College of Law. During law school Vivian worked at AYUDA, a legal clinic for domestic violence victims in Washington, DC, and interned at Legal Aid of Tampa.

Vivian began her law career working for the Administration for Children’s Services in Manhattan Family Court, serving in the child support and paternity unit where she represented the NYC Welfare Department to establish paternity of children receiving welfare and to obtain orders of child support.

Vivian continued her passion for public interest work by volunteering at PACE Women’s Justice Center, counseling victims of domestic violence. She went on to serve as a Case Manager at WJCS in Westchester, assisting survivors of the Holocaust in obtaining home care and vital needs. Vivian has volunteered on numerous community Boards and Organizations. She is committed to using her legal skills to improve the lives of others.
